GTA bids farewell to John and Pat Harrison
John founded Gas Training & Assessment
After many years of loyal commitment to Gas Training & Assessment, its staff and customers, managing partner, John Harrison, and his wife Pat retired at the end of September.
John founded Gas Training & Assessment alongside Nigel Farquhar in 1997, with Pat taking care of the company's administrative duties. Vic Knight joined as a managing partner in 2001, supporting John and Pat in building GTA in both size and reputation.
From 2015, John and Pat took lesser roles within the business, before ultimately deciding to step away completely this year after twenty years of dedicated service.
Looking to the future
As you would expect, it was very important to our remaining team that we found a suitable successor – someone who will continue to deliver the quality of training and customer service we are so proud of. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce the appointment of our new managing partner and colleague, David Lambert, to Gas Training & Assessment.
A qualified plumber for over twenty years, David comes to us with extensive gas training and assessment industry experience. Over the past seventeen years, David has successfully undertaken the general management of a number of training and assessment centres in the London, Herts and Essex regions. We consider ourselves very lucky to have attracted such a knowledgeable gas and plumbing expert into the business.
David started at GTA on October 1 st , working in partnership with Vic and our skilled Gas Training & Assessment staff of Chris, Tony and Mick. It has been a seamless transition; the business and our courses are running as usual with no adverse impact to any of our customers.
We would like to take a moment to thank John and Pat for all their hard work and passion in helping to create and build Gas Training and Assessment into what it is today. We wish them all the best and hope they both enjoy every moment of this new phase of their lives together.
