What is the pass rate for your gas engineering course?

We pride ourselves on the quality of our training

Any exam or assessment is a nerve-wracking experience but none more so than when you’re paying for the course yourself. Further education or vocational qualifications become all the more meaningful and serious when the investment comes out of your own pocket and failure is much harder to reconcile. This is why it is so important to sign up for the right course in the first place as you’ll not only want to maximise your chance of passing but also ensure your qualifications are industry-recognised and will give you the best chance of securing employment.

Here at Gas Training and Assessment, we pride ourselves on the quality of our training. Since 2007, we have delivered a 100% pass rate for new entrants into the gas industry – this is a fantastic achievement for a gas engineering training provider and is testament to the professionalism of our tutors and our high training standards. Our pass rate for qualified engineers is 99% which is also higher than the national average of 98% and a demonstration of the school’s success.

So how do we keep on delivering success, year after year? We take a very hands-on approach to our tuition and insist on teaching our students everything they need to know in the classroom rather than sending them home to do their own research and reading. Our tutors have all previously worked in the industry and are considerably experienced which makes them much easier to learn from than a book or online tuition style. Aside from assessment-based help and learning support, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver practical advice about careers and seeking employment to help smooth the transition of student to gas engineer.

Checking whether a gas training provider delivers a good pass rate should be a priority for all students preparing to sign up to an entry course. However, an even bigger priority should be ensuring that the qualification received on the completion of the training period is recognised within the industry. If they’re not, then the investment is a complete waste and you’ll find it impossible to find employment in the sector.

At gas training, new entrants into the industry will be required to undertake the Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety (CCN1) qualification. Once a gas operative has achieved CCN1 certification, they can progress to individual gas assessment relating to the appliances they intend to work on. CCN1 is a legal requirement for all gas fitters and forms part of the Nationally Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS). Successfully completing this qualification will automatically entitle the engineer to apply for membership with the Gas Safety Registe r , which is a legal requirement for any domestic gas engineer wanting to carry out gas work in the UK.

Here at Gas Training, we recognise that excellent pass rates and success stories only tell half the picture. If you would like more information about our courses or to find out whether you have the criteria required for a placement call us today.
